LaCie selects GLOVIA International’s ERP solutions for multi-national deployment
GLOVIA chosen for its functionality, flexibility and rapid implementation
El Segundo, CA. - September 14, 1998 - GLOVIA International, a joint venture between Fujitsu and MDIS, today announced another order for a multi-national deployment of the GLOVIA enterprise resource planning solution (ERP). LaCie, headquartered in Massy, France has signed the contract through the Company’s Hillsboro, Oregon office.
A leading manufacturer of PC hard drives, LaCie, specializes in the assembly and sales of computer storage devices, including CD drives, tapes drives, and removable drives as well as high-end monitors and disk management software. LaCie selected GLOVIA for its ability to provide the right combination of a wide range of features in a flexible, user-friendly package. After intense competition with such vendors as SAP and BAAN, LaCie will implement the GLOVIA 4.0 application with an anticipated 200 concurrent users, the highest number being in sales and customer service, followed by finance and accounting, and production and warehousing.
