GLOVIA International to provide CVC with ERP solution in line with CVC's business direction

GLOVIA’s flexible ERP solution to be deployed enterprise-wide for enhanced real-time communication

Los Angeles, CA. - October 20, 1998 - GLOVIA International, Inc., a joint venture between Fujitsu and MDIS, today announced that CVC, a worldwide supplier of deposition equipment for the fabrication of thin film recording heads for the data storage industry and semiconductor integrated circuits, has selected GLOVIA as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. CVC operates Advanced Product Development, Systems Engineering, Applications Engineering, Customer Service and Technical Support centers in New York, California, Minnesota, Texas, Europe and Asia. CVC plans to go live with GLOVIA enterprise-wide in February 1999.

CVC narrowed its search for ERP vendors to Baan, GLOVIA and Symix. "GLOVIA was the best fit for the structure and culture of our rapidly growing company," said David Kolczynski, CVC director of manufacturing. "The GLOVIA product provides increased functionality in the areas of manufacturing, planning and inventory control. In addition, GLOVIA has demonstrated a significant commitment to providing world class project management and engineer-to-order capabilities, both of which are critical to CVC’s vision."

By implementing GLOVIA, CVC’s information will be consolidated into one system, allowing enterprise-wide visibility. In addition, CVC’s financial information is currently a batched process, meaning budgets are consolidated into monthly reports. With GLOVIA, spending will be compared to budgets in a real-time environment allowing for more effective management to target costing objectives.
