IMC Fluid Power Group selects GLOVIA International and TRILOGY to streamline ERP and front office processes
Glovia’s Seiban component, integrated with Trilogy’s Selling Chain® software, will deliver the efficiencies of ERP directly to IMC’s customers
Los Angeles, CA. - December 28, 1998 - GLOVIA International, Inc., a joint venture between Fujitsu and MDIS, today announced that the IMC Fluid Power Group, an operating group of International Motion Control, Inc., has selected GLOVIA as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The IMC Fluid Power Group consists of Hydro-Line, Inc., Air-Dro Cylinders Inc., Compact Air Products, Inc., Hydrowa B.V., Midland Pneumatic and Hydro-Line s.r.l., who combine their engineering and manufacturing resources in the development of quality customized fluid power actuation products. The company plans for Hydro-Line, Inc., Air-Dro Cylinders, Inc. and Midland Pneumatic to be fully implemented enterprise-wide with GLOVIA and Trilogy’s Selling Chain software by October 1999. Other companies within the group will follow with implementation during the year 2000.
As a GLOVIA customer, the IMC Fluid Power Group will leverage GLOVIA’s ERP solution, seamlessly integrated with Trilogy’s Selling Chain suite, across its six operating facilities. This joint offering delivers pricing, compensation management, configuration, proposal and quote generations, and electronic commerce. This integrated front and back office solution delivers the efficiencies and benefits of ERP directly to the point of sale, reduces the time and monetary costs typically associated with enterprise integration and offers Hydro-Line a single point of vendor contact for maintenance and support. IMC Fluid Power Group’s sales representatives may now share customer data across the enterprise, confirm the available to promise date, enter orders directly into GLOVIA’s ERP system and leverage strategic pricing – all at the point of sale.
"Prior to our selection, we narrowed our search to GLOVIA and Oracle applications. We chose GLOVIA because its ERP solution is fully integrated with Trilogy’s best-of-breed front office offering, and the implementation period is shorter and much less complex," said Robert Trojan, president of the IMC Fluid Power Group. "Using GLOVIA, we can take an order from anywhere in the world and enter it directly into the correct manufacturing facility, significantly shortening our order-entry cycle. GLOVIA gives us enhanced global flexibility and visibility."
"The IMC Fluid Power Group is replacing three separate legacy systems with GLOVIA in order to achieve better enterprise-wide visibility of orders and inventory," said Bill Engel, president of GLOVIA International. "The company has a required timeframe for implementation and GLOVIA’s ERP solution will allow the IMC Fluid Power Group to be fully implemented within this rather aggressive schedule."
"IMC Fluid Power Group’s success with Glovia/Trilogy illustrates that companies no longer must choose between best-of-breed and integrated enterprise solutions," said Naren Nath, vice president of Trilogy’s Indirect Business Unit. "We are confident that our dedication to partners like GLOVIA will make many more companies, like IMC successful."
