Singapore, 2 March 1999 - Global industrial company Ten Cate Enbi has selected EURO proof Glovia 4.0 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for their manufacturing operations worldwide.

Ten Cate Enbi, whose parent company Royal Ten Cate is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, is a technical expert in manufacturing technology and performance of rubber, plastics and metal shaft. It specializes in the development and manufacture of sophisticated multi-material assemblies. Its production facilities are located in the USA, France, Switzerland, Singapore and the Netherlands.

"We chose the Glovia system because we had very good experience with Chess 1.10, Glovia 4.0's predecessor," said Ms Laura Loke, Financial Controller of Ten Cate Enbi Singapore. "And aside from its competitive price and superior quality, Glovia's ability to provide local technical and business consultancy support at our various sites was also an important factor."

Besides having to tackle the Y2k problem, Ten Cate Enbi also needed a EURO currency compliant system. As an extension of Chess, there would be minimum user resistance and training. Being window-based also adds to its user-friendliness. These translate to a lot of cost-savings and effectiveness for the company.

"As an international company with worldwide operations, Ten Cate Enbi required a system that can integrate easily with their many other sub-systems in the production, so as to cut down cost and increase productivity," said Mr Kreg Brown, CEO and President of Glovia International Asia-Pacific/Japan. "Glovia is confident of doing that for Ten Cate Enbi."

"Another advantage of using Glovia is their partnership with database industry-leader, Oracle, and that, we are sure, will shorten data processing time - more cost-saving!" added Ms Loke.

In Singapore, the entire migration process from Chess 1.10 to Glovia 4.0 took less than sixty days.
