NWL Transformers Rapidly Implements Glovia's ERP Solution to Enhance Business Processes.
New Glovia customer implements in six month, reduces work time by one-third using the Glovia financials module
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - March 15, 1999 - Glovia International, Inc., a joint venture between Fujitsu and MDIS, announced today that NWL Transformers, a leading supplier of electrical components for industrial equipment, has implemented Glovia's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Glovia. Following a very rapid implementation, NWL Transformers is running Glovia in two sites and has plans to go live enterprise-wide by July.
NWL Transformers provides custom transformers, power supplies, and capacitors for industrial, military and research customers. Applications include broadcast transmitters, electrostatic precipitation, electro-coating, furnaces, induction heating, lasers, power quality, motor controls and particle accelerators. They are using Glovia both in the engineer-to-order and repetitive manufacturing styles for tracking inventory, controlling production and integrating accounting functions.
"The Glovia financial modules have cut our processing times by a third. This translates into more efficient and effective business processes," said David Seitz, president of NWL Transformers. "Glovia's engineer-to-order modules offer a refined data structure that is flexible enough to grow with our rapidly expanding company."
"NWL Transformers is using Glovia to help improve organizational and customer management processes," said Bill Engel, president of Glovia International. "We expect them to find a rapid return on their investment and will continue to support them with the Glovia team. NWL Transformers is the latest example of the rapid implementations available to Glovia customers."
