Glovia International Announces Availability of Its 100 Percent Web-Enabled ERP Application.
New Java interface uses standard Web browsers to deploy all functions of Glovia ERP across intranets and extranets
Los Angeles, Calif. - March 22, 1999 - Glovia International LCC, a joint venture between Fujitsu and MDIS, today announced advanced capabilities from its technology partner PROIV that enables industry-standard Web browsers to deploy Glovia applications unchanged across intranets or extranets. Glovia, whose enterprise resource planning (ERP) products are based on PROIV's Rapid Development Environment and PROIV JavaSuite technology, now offers customers using Glovia the ability to access their business applications via the Web.
PROIV JavaSuite enables the Glovia application to execute as a fully transactional client/server application on the Web or any Java-based client, without the need to use HTML or CGI programming. PROIV JavaSuite may be run as a fully functional Java application or as a Java applet within the Web browser and is ideally suited for Glovia's customers who wish to deploy applications across different platforms throughout their organization.
