Glovia Appoints Martin Ryan as European Managing Director.
UK - July 12, 2001 - Glovia International, the business-to-business e-Commerce subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, has appointed Martin Ryan as Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA and is based at Glovia's European Headquaters in Luton, Bedfordshire.
Martin has spent 22 years in the IT industry running extensive IT operations for blue-chip organizations including Amex, Chase Bank and Reuters. He joins Glovia from Ajilon and is no stranger to Glovia, having worked extensively with PROIV and Glovia software systems during his 9 year career at ICT. As Head of Professional Services, he developed and consolidated ICT's position in new application development and legacy outsourcing, creating niche offerings in the telecomms and pharmaceutical sectors. He also played a pivotal role in helping the company grow from 18, to the 300 people it is today in the UK.
Of his new appointment Martin said, "Glovia International has enjoyed long success as an ERP vendor but we know that our customers need to take their IT investments to the next level if they are to compete effectively in the global market. We have developed technology solutions which will make fundamental changes to the way our customers conduct global business - including managing transactions across multiple languages, currencies and locations.
