Focusing on Glovia Applications: Top Technology Professionals Attend Fujitsu/Glovia Group Forum
El Segundo, California & Tokyo, Japan - December 6, 2002 – The Fujitsu/Glovia Group Forum, just concluded in Tokyo, gave technology professionals from some of the world's largest companies the chance to learn firsthand about Glovia International's leading business-to-business (B2B) enterprise and e-commerce solutions. Glovia is the B2B e-commerce subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited.
The forum's 175 attendees, all at the CIO or director levels, represented companies ranging from Canon, Honda and Matsushita Communications to bearing manufacturer NSK. The attendees heard Dennis R. Michalis, Glovia President/CEO, and Naoyuki Akikusa, Fujitsu President/CEO/COO, state that Glovia is making great strides toward its goal of providing the world's premier enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.
"The fact that so many top international companies were represented at the forum – and that many of these companies are Glovia customers – proves that Glovia applications are robust and capable of powering e-commerce on a global scale," says Michalis. "Our customers, in industries ranging from automobiles and manufacturing to telecommunications and electronics, believe in Glovia. After all, they're betting their businesses on our applications."
According to Steve Hayashi, Glovia Group General Manager, the forum also demonstrated Fujitsu's commitment to Glovia. "Mr. Akikusa's participation in the forum shows that Fujitsu fully supports – over the long term – Glovia's goal of producing the best enterprise and e-commerce packages available."
Designed to enable real-time collaborative commerce between and among companies, Glovia's robust suite of applications includes:
- glovia.com – An ERP solution offering a competitive edge to companies using
software for mixed-mode manufacturing (engineered-to-order through repetitive),
projects/contract management, service management, and integrated financials.
- glovia.e – Glovia's global collaborative e-commerce package includes a Global
Order Management system (eOrder, eStatus, eQuote). The eConfigure solution
allows the configuration/ordering of complex engineered products, while the
eService component allows instant access to vital customer/product information.
- glovia.ec – This closed-loop collaboration solution extends the "value chain" by
allowing suppliers, partners and customers to create private, secure trading
networks across multiple and disparate systems.
- glovia.hub – Glovia's private digital marketplace platform seamlessly links market-makers to suppliers and customers, regardless of language, currency or operating system used.
