Leading Global Oil Equipment Manufacturer Upgrades to Current Version of Glovia's Extended ERP Solution to Improve Operations
Oil States Industries to Benefit From Enhanced Functionality, Including Greater Operational Visibility and Supply Chain Management Capabilities
El Segundo, Calif., Oct. 19, 2004 - Glovia International, a subsidiary of Fujitsu (TSE:6702) and a leading provider of extended ERP solutions for engineer-to-order and high volume manufacturers, announced today that Oil States Industries is migrating to the current version of the company's extended ERP solution, glovia.com, to take advantage of enhanced operational visibility and supply chain management capabilities.
Oil States Industries is a leading manufacturer and developer of technologically advanced products, services and integrated solutions that serve the greater oil and gas industry. A Glovia customer for more than seven years, the company has grown steadily and currently has fifteen locations worldwide with nine domestic and six international.
Oil States Industries is migrating their nine domestic facilities, which are currently operating on an older version of glovia.com, to the current release. The company plans to begin the upgrade later this year at their domestic facilities and once complete then consider rolling out the solution to their international locations.
"We decided to migrate because it was discovered that certain functionality, including greater supply chain management capabilities, service management, and project and planning control is more effectively managed by glovia.com 7," states Gary Roberson, vice president of finance for Oil States Industries.
Enhanced Functionality
The latest version of glovia.com includes new functionality that improves the performance of complex global supply chains, like Oil States Industries', that have multiple products, production facilities, and span several geographic regions. Once implemented, the solution will enable the company to increase supply chain visibility and responsiveness, compress planning times, and improve customer satisfaction.
"As vendors, we are judged on the quality of our products and services and how well we respond to problems should they arise," continues Roberson. "The improved visibility into our inventory and across our global supply chain offered in glovia.com 7 will enable us to plan more effectively, respond faster, and better serve our customers."
"The ability to deliver extended ERP solutions that help manufacturers more effectively run their global operations is essential in today's business environment. Our customers count on us to provide solutions that manage all aspects of their business, and we've successfully achieved this with the latest version of glovia.com," states Yuji Nakasu, president and CEO of Glovia International. "The fact that Oil States Industries has renewed its commitment to Glovia demonstrates the significance of the functionality enhancements as well as the value they've already realized with glovia.com. By migrating to the current software release Oil States Industries will advance in their efforts to streamline their business processes and respond more rapidly to their customers' needs, with expectations of an improved bottom line."
