Glovia International to Feature Automotive Solutions at Annual AutoTech Conference
Glovia, with Partner Bar Code Solutions, to Showcase Honda Approved Automotive Shipping Functionality
El Segundo, Calif., August 29, 2005 - Glovia International, a subsidiary of Fujitsu and a leading provider of extended ERP solutions for engineer-to-order and high volume manufacturers, announced that Glovia along with partner Bar Code Solutions will be exhibiting at the annual AutoTech Conference in Detroit, Michigan on August 30 and 31. The conference, called by many the most relevant in the automotive industry, will be highlighting collaborative solutions to industry challenges such as escalating costs and declining profits.
Glovia's extended ERP suite, glovia.com, has dedicated automotive functionality that greatly helps reduce, manage and replenish inventory, streamline production, cut lead times, collaborate in real time, integrate supply chains and link accurate demand forecasting to production and supply.
By partnering with Bar Code Solutions, Glovia integrated Bar Code Solution's Visual Automated Release Management System (Visual-ARMS) with glovia.com. The fully integrated glovia.com Visual-ARMS solution automatically creates the Advanced Shipment Notices (ASNs) from the original ship schedule and prints all the barcode labels as well as the associated shipping documents necessary to comply with Honda's requirements. The system notifies suppliers of changes to their inbound shipping requirements, and helps reduce errors by validating orders to part numbers, supplier identifications, engineering levels, and shipping destinations.
