Glovia Releases Next Generation Enterprise Solution
New Release of the Extended ERP Solution Delivers Powerful Integrated Planning and Execution Capabilities
El Segundo, Calif., October 11, 2006 - Glovia International, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited and a leading provider of extended ERP solutions for engineer-to-order and high volume manufacturers, announced the general release of the next generation of its extended ERP solution, glovia.com. The new version, glovia.com v9, builds and expands upon the functionality of previous versions of the product and stems from extensive customer input and direction from Fujitsu, who is not only Glovia's parent company but its largest reseller.
glovia.com v9 demonstrates Glovia's commitment to enhancing its application and continues to provide manufacturers additional functionality to successfully and efficiently run their operations. The new release offers enhanced capabilities across many areas of core product functionality.
Glovia's demand-driven, integrated supply chain provides manufacturers greater management capabilities. Enhanced planning, scheduling and execution functionality enable greater control of critical operations, streamline customer and supplier management and improve collaboration, visibility and communication.
v9 delivers comprehensive material management and product planning. The additional functionality increases manufactures flexibility with granular visibility of all inventory whether in the warehouse, on the loading doc or in transit. Also demand, supply and planning can now be synchronized down to the hour or even minute to be even more precise in managing and planning inventory quantities, allocation and movement.
Glovia also developed a new graphical user interface (GUI). This is one area Glovia heavily collaborated with their customers to increase system utilization and speed of use. Technological enhancements improve system clarity navigation and information flow control.
"As a company, we always try to stay current on technology to maximize the benefits and help us successfully run our operations," stated Rick San Soucie, responsible for the Glovia system at AirBorn. "We have always had a strong relationship with Glovia and we are happy to be one of the first company's to take a look at the new version of the application."
Another area of great importance Glovia addressed in the new version is product flexibility. Glovia's Manufacturing Service Platform connects and integrates the various business systems a company currently uses as well as additional systems a company may purchase. The open architecture provides manufacturers the confidence to use the most effective solutions to run their operations, whether it is exclusively with Glovia or integrated with other systems.
"The latest version of glovia.com is the result of several years hard work researching industry trends, collaborating with our customer base and working very closely Fujitsu to develop the best solution possible for the marketplace, stated Yuji Nakasu, President & CEO for Glovia International. "We are excited about the product and feel it will prove to exceed expectations in terms of functionality, flexibility and granularity."
