New Graphical User Interface (GUI) Accelerates Speed and Utilization of Glovia's Extended ERP Solution
Technological Enhancements Improve System Clarity, Navigation and Information Flow Control
El Segundo, Calif., October 18, 2006 - Glovia International, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited and a leading provider of extended ERP solutions for engineer-to-order and high volume manufacturers, announced today, the development of a new graphical user interface (GUI) available in the latest release of their extended ERP solution, glovia.com. The new version, glovia.com v9, stems from extensive customer input and direction from Fujitsu, who is not only Glovia's parent company but also its largest reseller.
The newly developed GUI significantly heightens the level of clarity, accelerates the speed of navigation and improves control of information flow enabling customers to take advantage of the system's full potential. v9 enhances the legacy interface creating an aesthetically pleasing and easy to use GUI that promises to boost system utilization, acceptance and the learning curve for all users.
Significant Enhancements and Benefits:
- Clear Labels
Abbreviations are replaced with spelled out labels and acronyms have been removed except where they are industry standards. Users will not have to learn a new "language" to effectively use and navigate the system. - General Function Redesign
Functions have been "flattened" with tab technology, eliminating the need to "drill down" to find valuable information. Users now have clear visibility and immediate access to destination sites thus increasing the flow and control of information. - Tab Support
Creates a new look and feel for the user interface by organizing information into a common tab-format, rather than the legacy button-window approach. The tab support cuts down navigation time and makes the system easier to use. - Mouse Over Help
Moving the cursor over strategic areas of a screen will provide help/tips to the user. This helps users make fewer mistakes, learn more on their own and increase utilization of the system. - PDF Integration
Enables the making and storing of PDF-based documents directly into the Oracle database without losing quality or compromising security.
"The new GUI in v9 brings our customers a myriad of technological enhancements, all of which are designed to bridge the gap between the user and the system," says Navin Goel, Vice President of Products for Glovia International. "We worked very closely with our customers to make sure the new GUI enhancements provide functionality that will help users increase system utilization and improve management of their operations."
