Europe's Strong Family Ties

The Fujitsu Synergy Group: A Project Team that Lives Up to its Name

By Sabine Dekker, European Marketing Manager

Glovia has an exceptionally strong parent company in Fujitsu and Glovia EMEA has become strong partners with a number of companies in the Fujitsu family. The collective synergy has benefited our customers greatly. In addition to this, The Fujitsu Synergy Group (FSG), established by Fujitsu subsidiaries in Germany, has been organized to conduct joint projects and undertake team initiatives to formalize these opportunities, much as the Fujitsu companies in the United States have begun to do the same. (See Fujitsu article in this issue.)

Annette Kuhn, Channel Expert and responsible for Business Development at Fujitsu Siemens Computers Germany, has been a member of the FSG for two years and explains the group's mission: "Our goal is plain and simple: We look for the synergies between the Fujitsu companies and capitalize on them."

"The number of Fujitsu companies participating has increased to twelve companies," says Kuhn. "We have already been able to realize significant advantages for some of our customers."

The FSG members meet every two months and include Klaus Sterk, from Fujitsu Siemens Computers Headquarters in Germany, who acts as the coordinator and "sparring partner." The group is a mix of companies with various specialties, goals, and people with the same background but different disciplines. That's where the FSG people come in: You know our company, but do you know everything that Fujitsu can provide to help you succeed?

Martin Soet, Director of Sales & Marketing - Glovia EMEA, says that the goals of the FSG for Glovia include combining multiple products and services into one solution. "Our customers, who are manufacturing companies, often only know a small portion of our total capacity," he says. "As they find out more and more the sheer breadth of depth of all of the products and services from Fujitsu, they are excited by the possibilities of a comprehensive portfolio of technology services and products from a single, reliable point of contact."

"Whether our customers need management and technology consulting services, application infrastructure and business process automation software, ERP, enterprise and open systems server products, data storage and management products, imaging solutions, mobile devices, or anything else, we help them reduce IT complexity — lowering their costs and risks — and save time, money, and improved quality across the board."
