Committed to the Customer

Second Quarter of 2006 Filled with New Features and Offerings

By Yuji Nakasu

Although half of the calendar year has already passed, Glovia International continues to work hard and bring new offerings to the table. Thinking about all the developments since the last edition of The Extended Enterprise, I am amazed that they all took place within the past three months. In addition to participating in another successful User Group Conference, Glovia has also been busy welcoming a new member to the executive team and establishing the ground works for a powerful service. The newsletter provides not only more information on the three events, but also takes the opportunity to release our latest case study and white paper. Please enjoy this edition of The Extended Enterprise and know that we strive to always keep our focus on you, the customer.

I am proud to say that the 2006 User Group Conference was a great success. Held in Nashville, TN from May 21st-25th at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, attendees saw a number of excellent customer presentations, learned about Glovia's future plans and participated in some very productive roundtables. In addition to the daytime activities, the evening at the Country Music Hall of Fame and some nights in downtown Nashville gave people additional opportunities to network with each other and develop relationships. Glovia had such a great response from our customers; the excitement is already starting to build up for next year's conference in Orlando, FL.

From speaking with many of our customers, many wanted to focus more on their core competencies and less on the technology they needed to support their business. Glovia's Remote Managed Services (RMS) provides the solution for organizations that do not have the available resources to improve and maintain their information technology systems. By managing your enterprise system and tailoring it to your specific needs, Glovia can offer the confidence and peace of mind you need to grow your business.

An example of our customer focus is Oil States Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer and developer of technologically advanced products, services and integrated solutions for the greater oil and gas industry. Our latest case study talks about Oil States' recent migration to the latest version of glovia.com and the improvement in operational visibility and supply chain management through minimal customizations and a standardized system. By synchronizing enterprise-wide production, supply, and demand at Oil States, Glovia helped cut cycle times dramatically, make resource allocation more effective and create a quick response time to customers.

Lastly, the appointment of Masahiro Cho as the new Chief Financial & Administrative Officer is a welcomed addition to the executive team at Glovia International. Cho complements his real world experience with a lengthy and impressive educational resume. For more of Cho's background please read the press release in this issue. We all are excited to have Masahiro Cho and look forward to the great success he will bring to Glovia.
