Heading into the Holiday Season Recent Developments Bring Hope and Promise for the Future By Yuji Nakasu
The other week, I left the office during the evening and noticed something. It was pitch black. Before I became overwhelmed with mixed emotions of bewilderment and anxiety, I reminded myself that daylight savings had come. Year after year, subconsciously I know that it's only a matter of time before daylight savings comes, yet when it does I am never ready for it. Forced to change the clock on the oven, in the car and on that battery powered alarm clock (can never rely on the ones you have to plug into the wall, especially with California's rolling blackouts). Always second guessing yourself on whether or not the clock in that restaurant or your friend's house has changed been or not. But what daylight savings does for me the most, despite the unusual period of adjustment, is it reminds me of how quickly the year has gone by and causes me to reflect on the amount of progress that has been made. Thankfully, we have The Extended Enterprise to help us remember our accomplishments and guide us for the future. Whether it is showcasing a recent development or recounting past events such as our User Group, the newsletter is a great of communicating within ourselves and with our customers. In the case of this edition, it is packed with the familiar case study, news and white paper, but it also happens to contain multiple features celebrating our latest software release. Recently, Glovia International proudly announced its latest release in enterprise solutions. This next generation in information system technology is geared towards taking your business from a regional or local level to a global scale. Designed for the Lean Manufacturer, it provides unmatched flexibility and adaptability without sacrificing the quality and flow of information. In the Extended Enterprise, you'll find an updated general brochure for our latest release. Also, there is a segment on turnkey migration which details the Glovia's migration methodology and shows how we are able to maintain our reputation for having such a high success rate while performing at extremely efficient and economical levels. Our final feature on the Next Generation solution is a casual and informative piece, summarizing what you may or may not have already known about the new release. Presented in a simple Q&A format, hopefully it will give you some answers but spark many more questions for you to contact us with. Rounding out the newsletter, we have a case study depicting a company's smooth migration, jumping from one of the oldest versions of Glovia software. It is a wonderful story that characterizes not only a company's commitment to the future, but also Glovia's commitment to the customer and successful migrations. Lastly, using the automobile industry as a model, our latest white paper looks at applications of technology and enterprise solutions in project management. We are approaching a time of the year to reflect on the past, so please take a look and see what we've done by reading our newsletter and letting us know what you think at extended-enterprise@glovia.com. Regards, Yuji Nakasu If you have any questions or comments about this article or The Extended Enterprise, please let us know at extended-enterprise@glovia.com. |
